The Design

A slight variant on our Zuhur design with more regular vertical stripes, this cushion is named after the Arabic for ‘flowers’ for the hidden blossoms in the pattern.
Backed with either heavy linen or velvet, they are stunning works of art that you will love forever.
This is a traditional design that you can find in almost every house in Syria, but especially in the south. All of our patterns pay homage to ancient Syrian tradition.

The Impact

All profit from sales is used to employ more women and to continue Sabbara’s work on female empowerment. Sabbara was established inside Syria in 2011 in response to the escalating war and its devastating consequences for families all over the country. Our aim is to train women in traditional skills, create a sustainable infrastructure for production, and develop an international market.

Material: 100% cotton thread with 100% untreated linen sides and back.
